Fun In The Sun

Having fun in the sun on a beach holiday isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but the majority of us do like to feel the sand in between our toes and getting our feet wet in the sea, don’t we? And the occasional smell of fish and chips from the chippie is divine. And queuing up for that ice-cream cone knowing that it’ll be dripping down your arm by the time you get back to your pitch. It sure is all the part of having fun on the beach.

I love it so much that I moved away from London, UK to live close to the beach and I love every moment of being here in the countryside. Having fun in the sun with beach holidays is what it’s all about.

Just watching my little one digging the sand and running to the sea and getting his feet wet, brings a smile to my face. The older ones go off swimming or playing cricket and football with their friends. I love the feeling of the cool breeze on my sun-kissed face.

However, not everyone enjoys getting to their holiday beach destination, especially if they haven’t planned the trip very well.

Here Are A Few Survival Tips On How To Make Your Fun In The Sun On A Beach Holiday Better

When you’re going off to the beach with the car, the things that you should do is to make sure that you prepared for your trip properly.

  1. It’s a good idea to clear out your car and remove anything that you’re not going to need that includes the rubbish.
  2. Fill up your glove compartment with a first aid kit, and snacks for the trip.
  3. Clear out the boot and check that the spare tyre is good, you have the foot pump and jack and sockets to hand.
  4. By clearing out what isn’t needed you’re making more room for your luggage.
  5. Keep your road map handy as the sat nav doesn’t always get a connection and tells you to drive down roads that lead to nowhere or into a lake.
  6. I so find driving around with my child can be a pain, especially when he was being potty trained. I made sure that I had the potty in the car at all times. With toys, snacks and water for the journey.
  7. Don’t forget to take care of yours and your families skin even if your skin is dark you can still burn and that can ruin your holiday. A good sun blocker is so essential. Make sure you take your jungle juice to repel the mozzies.
